On Wednesday night Orvis was filled with eager guests of an unusual variety – wagging tails, floppy tongues and attentive ears, we welcomed over forty canine friends through our doors for the launch of The Orvis Dog Club.
Whilst the humans sipped on wine and nibbled on canapés our VIPs (very important pooches) were treated to tasty treats from The Dog Treat Company and pampered with love and affection by their adoring fans. Amongst the guests there was chatter about the exciting potential of the club with talk of group walks in Green Park, A dog lovers mingle and exclusive members’ offers. At ground level there was also chatter but it seemed to be more preoccupied with the subjects of Chum vs Wagg and chewed tennis balls vs the classic stick.
We were lucky enough to be graced with royalty of canine and human variety. Marcel Le Corgi was a popular guest with many recognizing him from his starring role in the introduction to the Queen’s Christmas Broadcast last year and he posed beautifully next to the charming Georgia Toffolo of Made in Chelsea royalty. We were also delighted to welcome representatives from the Pets as Therapy charity and their amazing dogs of all shapes and sizes from Cesc the tiny Jack Russel Cross to Fudge the robust and handsome chocolate Labrador.
A truly fabulous evening was had by all with our canine companions behaving extremely courteously to each other whilst their paw-rents swapped tips and shared tales about the life of a dog owner. It was a brilliant occasion that brought together like minded dog lovers to share and celebrate the joys of our four legged friends – all of us at Orvis wait with excitement and enthusiasm for all that The Orvis Dog Club will have to offer in the future.
